Arizona Rock
Together, the members of Steel Mayhem bring decades of experience, discipline, and a deep connection to the Arizona Valley music scene. From soaring vocals and blazing guitars to thunderous drums and driving bass, they deliver the energy, grit, and attitude that keeps Arizona rock alive.

Bass Guitarist
Ron B
Ron may call himself the “new guy,” but don’t let that fool you — he’s been holding down the low end for over a decade, getting serious about his craft in the last four years. Armed with two Fender Mustang P/J short-scale basses, an Ashdown 180W Electric Blue amp, and a streamlined pedal setup, Ron delivers tight, driving bass lines that power the foundation of Steel Mayhem’s sound. Playing in a rock band has been a lifelong goal, and now he’s making it happen — one groove at a time.
Influenced by legends like Geddy Lee, Robert Trujillo, Geezer Butler, Gene Simmons, and the iconic energy of Ozzy, Dio, Bowie, and Freddie Mercury, Ron blends precision with presence. From the technical brilliance of Eddie Van Halen to the soul of Carlos Santana and Stevie Ray Vaughan, his influences run deep — and it shows every time he steps on stage.
The self-proclaimed “old man of the group,” Ron is a Marine Corps veteran, retired helicopter pilot, mechanical designer, proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Life is full — and he wouldn’t have it any other way. After decades of responsibility, he’s finally carving out time to chase the dream he’s had since he was a kid — and with Steel Mayhem, he’s living it loud.

Lead Guitar
Gus K
Gus picked up a guitar at 16 and never looked back. With Jackson guitars running through a Blackstar 50W amp and 2×10 cabinet, plus a Digitech effects board, he delivers the melodic firepower that fuels Steel Mayhem’s soaring leads and searing solos.
From 1989 to 1992, Gus served as rhythm and lead guitarist for Tampa Bay-based rock band Teazer, sharpening his stage presence and musicianship. Inspired early on by Warren DeMartini of Ratt and the dual-guitar attack of Queensrÿche, he developed a style that balances precision, speed, and classic ’80s arena-rock attitude.
An Army veteran and licensed pilot, Gus thrives on adrenaline both on and off the stage. Whether he’s mountain biking or stepping into a spotlight, he brings intensity and control — two qualities that define his role in Steel Mayhem.

Drums
Michael
With more than two decades behind the kit, Michael provides the thunderous backbone that drives Steel Mayhem forward. His Premier Artist Birch shells, Zildjian A & Z cymbals, Remo double pinstripe heads, and DW Iron Cobra double pedal are built for impact — delivering punch, precision, and power every night.
Having played with jam bands in both Phoenix and Santa Clara, CA, Michael draws influence from heavy hitters like Lars Ulrich, Vinny Appice, Neil Peart, and Mike Portnoy. His approach blends groove with complexity, anchoring the band while elevating every arrangement.
Offstage, Michael’s intensity doesn’t slow down. A competitive 3-gun shooter, hunter, archer, and corporate global executive producer, he brings discipline and focus into everything he does. That same drive fuels the relentless rhythm behind Steel Mayhem.

Vocals
Steve
Steve’s musical journey began behind the drum kit, but it was his voice that ultimately took center stage. For nearly three decades, he’s been performing around the Valley in bands such as Euphoria, No Xcuses, and Random, building the commanding presence he now brings to Steel Mayhem.
The spark was lit at a Thanksgiving gathering when a family friend cranked Van Halen’s “Eruption” in the living room — a moment that changed everything. Influenced by Don Dokken and Ian Astbury, Steve delivers soaring vocals layered with grit, melody, and unmistakable power.
To this day, walking onto a stage gives him a bigger adrenaline rush than jumping out of an airplane. That electricity is felt every time he fronts Steel Mayhem. When he’s not performing, he’s into hockey, sales, and — unexpectedly — cats. Rock frontman energy with a twist.

Rhythym Guitar
Jimmy H (JJ)
JJ has been playing guitar since he was 16, bringing steady rhythm and driving tone to Steel Mayhem’s foundation. His Carvin and EVH guitars paired with a versatile pedalboard create thick, punchy textures that keep the band locked in and moving forward.
Previously a member of Jolly Roger, JJ honed a style rooted in hard rock swagger and classic rhythm sensibility. Influenced by Nikki Sixx, Robin Crosby, Malcolm Young, and even Hank Williams, his playing blends grit, groove, and a touch of outlaw spirit.
Solid, steady, and always locked in, JJ provides the rhythmic glue that helps Steel Mayhem hit hard and stay tight..
